Emersia is a two man production team consisting of Chris Girard from Canada and Hugo Gerritse from Holland. Both have been dj’ing and producing on their own for several years. When they met each other on an electronic music forum they decided to combine their strength and start producing music together. Chris’ deep, melodic grooving creations combined with Hugo’s more technical skills turned out to fill each other in very well.

Their first release came in May 2006, when their remix of Storytellers’track Polar White was signed to the American label Toes in the Sand Recordings. Their second release, the deep, melodic progressive track Past Recollection is up for release on No Smoking Recordings. This release will feature a DJ Tarkan remix, among re-interpretations by other talented artists.

As for the future, Hugo and Chris are working on several projects. A remix of a track by The Last Atlant is scheduled for release in October 2006, and they are also busy working on a couple of their own tracks which will be undoubtely gain support by the progressive house minded dj.
